With exciting goals for the future of our organization, we are currently in search of an Estimator to join us at our facility on Annacis Island in Delta. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team and make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and fast-paced fabrication environment.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Project Services, you will play the lead role in preparing detailed cost estimates for a variety of projects that include fabrication of pressure piping, pressure vessels, and modules.

In addition to being the primary contact for project estimates, you will be involved with business development strategies and client relationships.

Highlights of job duties include:

• Lead and direct the timely execution of the estimate deliverable process
• Analyze bid documents and determine scope of work. Identify potential risks and opportunities, and present recommendations to the leadership team.
• Develop accurate and competitive estimates
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to collect information required for preparation of estimates
• Ensure proposals are submitted on time
• Manage post-bid clarifications, and ensure relevant updates are provided to clients and project teams
• Provide support with change orders and negotiations
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Here’s what we’re seeking in the successful candidate:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years’ estimating experience, with a strong knowledge of pipe fabrication and welding processes
• Ability to critically analyze bid documents and identify risks in drawings, specifications, contracts, and terms and conditions
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and estimation software
• Excellent analytical skills. Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to troubleshoot and creatively problem-solve
• Ability to take initiative and translate business needs into action plans
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal skills.
