About the Job
- The Environmental Field Coordinator supports the execution of environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance field programs at the Silvertip Project by coordinating day-to-day field activities, inspections, monitoring, and data collection in alignment with regulatory requirements and project standards. Working closely with consultants, contractors, and site teams, the role supports implementation of environmental programs, oversees field schedules and procedures, and contributes to compliance with permits, environmental laws, and safety standards. The Field Coordinator is responsible for supervising contractors, maintaining sampling and monitoring equipment, compiling and reporting field data, and supporting site environmental awareness and compliance training. Operating in a camp-based, rotational environment, this role plays a key part in supporting project milestones while upholding Coeur’s environmental and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- * Lead by example to exemplify Coeur Mining’s core values: Protect, Develop, and Deliver.
- * Coordinate environmental assessment and permitting field activities and programs in collaboration with consultants and site logistics, safety, environment and project teams.
- * Establish field schedules and procedures to meet project environmental assessment and permitting requirements and standards.
- * Participate in enforcing compliance with current permits, environmental and safety standards.
- * Conduct inspections to confirm compliance with requirements and support implementation of best practices.
- * Collect environmental samples to support monitoring and assessment programs.
- * Select and maintain environmental sampling and monitoring equipment.
- * Develop and deliver daily and weekly reports on field activities.
- * Ensure management of change processes are followed and documented.
- * Apply project management principles when supervising field activities and project deliverables.
- * Review technical documents to support environmental programs, compliance, and project execution.
- * Provide advice on environmental programs and practices to ensure compliance with environmental laws and permits.
- * Responsible for contractor supervision and day-to-day project activities and deliverables.
- * Deliver site environmental and compliance awareness training for site visitors and contractors.
- * Compile and review field data to identify trends and maintain site compliance.
- * Establish and maintain two-way communication channels with Supervisor and fellow employees to achieve an effective working relationship and culture of teamwork.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- * Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others with a commitment to health, safety, and environmental stewardship.
- * Bachelor’s degree in Hydrology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- * Professional designation (or eligibility to obtain a professional designation) is considered an asset.
- * Five (5) years of progressive experience in environmental or project coordination roles.
- * Mining, Oil and Gas or Heavy Industrial experience is preferred.
- * Strong problem-solving, teamwork and ability develop and foster strong working relationships.
- * Strong sense of integrity, ethics and desire to positively impact the environment.
- * Strong organization and communication skills, written and verbal.
- * Strong computer skills including a working knowledge Microsoft Office Suites.
- * Ability to work with a diverse cross-cultural workforce.
- Additional Information:
- * Willing to work a two-week rotation schedule, with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp.
- * Our current designated marshalling locations are Vancouver, Kelowna, Nanaimo, Calgary, Edmonton, Whitehorse, Teslin, and Watson Lake.
