I am looking for a professional English → Haitian Creole translator to translate a survey used with recent immigrants to Canada. This survey collects feedback from recent immigrants to Canada about their settlement experiences, access to services, housing, health care, language learning, work, and community participation. The results help an organization that supports newcomers to Canada better understand their needs and improve the support and programs offered to them. Scope of Work • Translate the full survey content from English into Haitian Creole • Maintain the original meaning, tone, and intent while using clear, natural, and culturally appropriate Haitian Creole • Respect the survey structure (questions, response options, instructions, notes) • Preserve any placeholders, numbering, and layout needed for the survey platform Requirements • Native Haitian Creole with excellent command of English • Proven experience translating surveys, social programs, or community-focused content • Strong attention to detail and consistency in terminology • Must be able to work in SDL Trados or similar CAT tool (text contains some embedded script/code, and CAT tools help protect code while isolating translatable text) • Willing to help build and/or use a translation memory (TM) for this project to ensure consistency across all segments Deliverables • Final translated file in the same structure as the source (Excel) • Clean, proofread Haitian Creole ready for implementation in the survey platform • Updated TM reflecting all approved translations for this project
