We are seeking a Director, Project Planning Services for a well established Electrical contracting client of ours in the Vancouver area. This role is responsible for driving excellence in construction preplanning and execution, fostering a culture of safety and inclusion, and optimizing business practices to support organizational growth. The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in project planning, strong leadership capabilities, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
-Lead a culture of safety, collaboration, and respect, while fostering an inclusive and high-performance environment-
-Oversee construction preplanning activities, including BIM, VDC, and Revizto workflows, ensuring standardization of processes, tools, and consistency and efficiency in deliverables
-Collaborate closely with senior leadership to align departmental goals with organizational strategy
-Continuously evaluate and optimize internal business practices to improve productivity and quality

-Lead strategic initiatives that enhance preplanning and execution
-Manage departmental and project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and accurate forecasting
-Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and industry representative
-Drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to optimize business practices and expand market presence
Qualifications
-Minimum 10 years of previous experience in construction, or a related industry
-P.Eng., PMP Certification, Gold Seal in Project Management, Project Management Certificate, or equivalent education is ideal
-Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic initiatives
-Sophisticated knowledge of construction preplanning
-Strong understanding of BIM, VDC, and project planning technologies
-Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
-Deep understanding of construction industry trends, technologies, and best practices
