To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Senior Director of Client Segments – Newcomers, the Director, Newcomer Client strategy is accountable for leading the development and execution of a highly integrated roadmap of client-facing initiatives that support the growth of the Newcomer segment. The work is varied and diverse, but you can expect it will involve conducting research and bringing forward client-focused insights and integrating across products and channels to support development, launch and monitoring of one cohesive strategy and tactical plan for this segment. This role will help develop strategies that attract new clients and retain our existing clients by offering engaging programs relevant to that segment and personalized experiences with our bank. As a client segment leader, the role will be laser focused on growth through strong client acquisition, engagement and retention tactics to meet or exceed key performance indicator targets. Director, Newcomer Client strategy will take a leadership role in conducting strategic analysis across several key business drivers and driving strategic initiatives end to end based on our client insights and working with cross-functional team throughout the stages of solution identification, scoping, designing, implementing and tracking. The role will quantify opportunities, create executive level analysis and communication to ensure effective decision making. This role is high exposure and requires strong thought leadership, ability to influence at all levels and urgency to execute and track a complex set of initiatives across segments and partners. How you’ll succeed Understand our clients - Spearhead qualitative and quantitative research and journey mapping to develop a deep understanding of our clients’ needs and inform how we attract, engage and retain our clients. Analyze the market to identify competitive gaps in client engagement and experiences. Gather direct client and frontline feedback by engaging with senior leaders and frontline team members at all levels. Size market opportunities and develop appropriate KPIs and targets; manage to set targets. Integrate across products and channels - Take a leadership role in integrating across products and channels to collaboratively design solutions and strategies relevant to our most important segments. Work with executive stakeholders to create a one plan approach and secure executive alignment on objectives, strategies and tactics. Leverage our data to identify trends and deep client insights for the segment to form a view on how and which new clients to attract to CIBC. Innovate for ‘business not as usual’ solutions & partner management - Define client engagement journeys and identifying key gaps and develop a multi-year strategy. Seek out learning opportunities outside of financial services to apply to client segments. Lead ideation sessions with product, marketing and channels to identify new opportunities. Execute - Be the single point of contact to close key gaps in our client journey by executing results-focused initiatives that scale. Implement new foundational capabilities to attract new clients and deepen shallow relationships. Launch relevant offers, product bundles and partnerships. Monitor – Monitor progress against KPIs and manage client segment target expectations. Monitor industry trends that impact client segments. You have comprehensive knowledge of client segments to create a compelling value proposition that will increase revenue growth, share of wallet and competitive position in the marketplace. You have a degree in business or a related field, preferably a Master’s degree. Values matter to you.
