Job Description Overview The Digital Project Manager will report to the VP, Digital Solutions and will be responsible for all aspects of the implementation and operation of specific workstreams or initiatives within the Digital Solutions roadmap. This role will require leadership of all project team members, and will be responsible for developing work execution plans, assignment of or recruitment of project team members, development of overall work breakdown structure (WBS), project deliverables, organizational chart, budget, schedule, subcontract and supplier strategy, risk management, project forecast and people forecasting and levelling (PFL) for the project. A project manager is expected to have significant experience in project delivery and project execution methodology including an understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, contract management and project controls principles. This role will be based in Mississauga, ON. Your role Accountable for all aspects of specific workstreams within the program and to lead all team members who are performing duties to ensure that the work progresses with safety, quality, scope, schedule, cost, and contractual requirements. May include selection, implementation, operation, and support of software applications. Success in the role requires the ability to plan and prioritize activities, understand business requirements, manage change and work closely with multiple stakeholders. Responsible for developing project scope and deliverable definition through high-quality analysis for the specific workstreams in collaboration with key stakeholders. This may include streamlining, redesigning, and optimizing processes, operations and systems and will require leveraging of knowledge of business applications and data usage to contribute to informed decision making. This may also include the need to synthesize and translate technical information into digital solutions. Responsible for reporting of scope, status, budget of each workstream as required to various stakeholders. Responsible and accountable for all aspects of nuclear and industrial safety including adherence with corporate and customer safety programs, development and enforcement of necessary training and requirements, adherence to corrective action programs and enforcement of performance standards for all the above Accountable for developing and maintaining a project plan for each workstream. Ensure that all project activities are performed in accordance with corporate standards of ethical compliance, cyber-security, import-export regulations, intellectual property protections and security clearance protocols. Responsible for all vendor contract management (if applicable for workstream) including scope & change control, requirements management, governance, etc. Apply appropriate key performance indicators to monitor project health and performance and establish rigorous reporting protocols that meet all requirements of the contract, corporate standards and project-specific oversight as established by senior management or customer. Ensure that all project activities are performed in accordance with corporate standards of ethical compliance, cyber-security, import-export regulations, intellectual property protections and security clearance protocols. Ensure that project procurement and subcontract management including subcontractor and supplier oversight, invoicing, accruals, and supply chain strategies are aligned with risk management, quality requirements, schedule and budget considerations and overall performance standards commensurate with the project and customer requirements. PM shall apply project controls methodology with respect to planning and scheduling, baseline management, cost control, budgeting, cashflow, invoicing, cost and revenue forecasting and resource management. Form and maintain relationships with key stakeholders: internal clients, corporate/global entities, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Prepare and manage budgets for each workstream and accountability for assigned scope/project performance. Develop and implement detailed project execution plans and monitoring their execution through comprehensive reporting to clients and senior management. About you Graduation from a recognized educational institution in computer science, business, or engineering. 10+ years’ experience leading various type of projects with a focus on Management Information Management Systems and Design Systems. 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting software applications in a capital project environment. Recognized professional designation in a relevant field considered an asset. Experience in a variety of data integration technologies. Experience working in a nuclear environment is an asset. Experience in an IT or Engineering supervisory or leadership role. Strong experience with various engineering design tool packages such as SmartPlant, Aveva, Common Data Environments and Document Management Systems.Working knowledge of CANDU reactor design. Familiarity with standards such as ISO 19650, CFIHOS, BIM, etc. Knowledge of business application development, testing, and maintenance. Understanding of nuclear supply chain and materials management principles. Understanding of project delivery methodology including earned value, critical path scheduling, prime contract and subcontract management, procurement and supply chain methodology and inspection and test plans. An appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industry. Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills.
