We love where we live—and that local love fuels everything we do. United Way/Centraide Windsor-Essex County works to ignite the desire in everyone to improve lives and build strong communities. Guided by integrity, equity, inclusivity, and transparency, our work is data-driven, outcome-focused, and rooted in collaboration. Our vision is bold: a generation from now, Windsor-Essex County will be a prosperous community where all children have the opportunity to achieve their dreams and reach their full potential. As part of a global United Way movement operating in nearly 80 communities across Canada, we proudly respond to local needs with local leadership. Since 1947, we have worked alongside donors, volunteers, partners, and residents to create lasting change in Windsor-Essex County. We also proudly serve as the backbone organization for ProsperUs, a cross-sector collective working to unlock youth potential and ensure every young person has the support they need to succeed—from cradle to career. Together, we think global and act local to build a stronger, more equitable community for all.
