We’re a fast-growing e-commerce clothing brand on Shopify looking for an experienced CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) Expert who can help us increase our conversion rate and build a system for consistent, scalable growth. Our biggest challenge isn’t traffic — it’s turning that traffic into customers. We need someone who understands how to analyze performance, identify friction points, and implement the right changes that lead to measurable conversion increases. The ideal candidate knows how to connect data with design, psychology with performance, and can confidently take ownership of improving conversion — not just identifying problems, but executing solutions that drive results. Your Primary Mission Take full ownership of improving our overall conversion rate — not just identifying what’s wrong, but implementing what will fix it. Understand our brand and audience deeply — we target a Gen Z crowd of high school and college-aged buyers, so knowing how they think, what captures their interest, what drives them to purchase, and what makes them hesitate is key. Create a plan of what to test, what to change, and why — backed by both data and brand intuition. Implement design and layout adjustments directly in Shopify that improve user experience and conversion flow. Help us move from an inconsistent ~1% conversion rate to a stable, scalable benchmark — with clear reasoning behind each change made. Work as an extension of our team, not a consultant — helping us consistently test, improve, and grow. Responsibilities Conduct a hands-on CRO review of our entire site experience (homepage, PDPs, cart, checkout, mobile). Identify and execute changes that directly impact conversion — layout, design, copy, product presentation, and offer clarity. Plan and run structured A/B tests with clear hypotheses and learning outcomes. Create and maintain a CRO roadmap that outlines the most impactful opportunities and prioritizes what to do next. Work closely with our team to ensure changes align with brand identity and audience behavior. Continuously track performance, interpret data, and make iterative improvements. Provide weekly insights on progress, test results, and next steps for optimization. Suggest new ideas to improve both conversion rate and AOV, from offers to checkout flow. Requirements Proven experience increasing conversion rates for Shopify brands (apparel or fashion strongly preferred). Deep understanding of user experience, buyer psychology, and design principles that convert. Confident with Shopify, landing page tools, analytics, and CRO platforms (Hotjar, GA4, etc.). Ability to both strategize and execute — you can explain why a change matters and also make it happen. Strong sense of ownership — you take accountability for driving results, not just reporting them. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, test-driven environment with a Gen Z-focused brand. Excellent communicator — able to translate data into actionable insight and direction.
