  • We are seeking a Corporate Maintenance Planning & Systems Manager to lead the development and execution of maintenance planning, systems, and inventory strategies across our network of manufacturing plants. This role will serve as the ERP (D365) maintenance module super user and will be responsible for standardizing preventive maintenance programs, training and supporting site-level planners, and ensuring parts stores are optimized with accurate min/max levels and inventory controls.
  • The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented leader with a strong technical background in maintenance, combined with expertise in ERP systems, planning, and reliability.
  • ERP/D365 Leadership
  • Act as the company-wide super user for the D365 maintenance module, ensuring all plants follow standardized workflows and best practices.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize system configurations, reporting dashboards, and KPIs for maintenance performance.
  • Serve as the first line of support for site-level users and coordinate with IT for issue resolution and system enhancements.
  • Lead training and onboarding of new maintenance planners, managers, and clerks on D365 functionality.
  • Maintenance Planning & Preventive Programs
  • Develop and implement standardized preventive and predictive maintenance plans for key assets across all plants.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Managers to schedule PM tasks, optimize frequencies, and ensure completion compliance.
  • Support planning for major shutdowns, overhauls, and capital project work.
  • Analyze equipment history and performance data to identify opportunities for improved reliability and reduced downtime.
  • Inventory & Parts Management
  • Oversee spare parts strategy across all plants, including min/max levels, reorder points, and critical spare identification.
  • Standardize part descriptions, coding, and categorization to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Partner with procurement to leverage purchasing power, align vendor contracts, and optimize total cost of ownership.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and coordinate periodic audits across all sites.
  • Training, Coaching & Standardization
  • Train and mentor site-level maintenance planners and parts clerks to ensure consistent execution of planning and inventory practices.
  • Develop and roll out corporate SOPs for planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Act as the bridge between corporate leadership and site-level execution, ensuring alignment on goals, systems, and processes.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in maintenance planning, reliability engineering, or maintenance management.
  • Strong expertise in ERP systems (Microsoft D365 strongly preferred).
  • Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with inventory management and spare parts optimization.
  • Excellent communication, training, and influencing skills.
  • Bilingual (English and French) - English is required to serve our clients in the United States;
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple sites and functions to promote consistency and enhance performance. This role requires up to 25% travel, primarily within the United States and Canada.
