Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Restaurant. Tasks: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Supervise kitchen staff and helpers. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Clean kitchen and work areas. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Support for persons with disabilities: Provides auditory accessibility accommodations (for example: transcription software, teletypewriters, etc.). Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities . Offers workshops, counselling services or other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce (for example: adapting to different organizational structures) . Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations . Support for mature workers: Applies hiring policies that discourage age discrimination . Provides workspace accommodations, such as age-appropriate ergonomic considerations, to meet the physical needs of mature workers (for example: adjustable desks and chairs, accessible parking, etc.) . Supports for visible minorities: Offers mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
