About
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Supervise kitchen staff and helpers. Clean kitchen and work areas. Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit. Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs. Stock refrigerators and salad bars. Sharpen kitchen knives. Serve customers at counters or buffet tables. Scour pots and pans. Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand. Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas. Remove kitchen garbage and trash. Portion and wrap foods. Package take-out food. Keep records of the quantities of food used. Handle and store cleaning products. Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs. Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment. Prepare, heat and finish simple food items. Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware.
