Who You Will Work With: Reporting to the Leader, Sponsorship & Events Marketing, you’ll support the execution of our corporate communications and sponsorship strategies, employee engagement programs and internal communications initiatives. You’ll gain hands-on experience delivering best-in-class sponsorship activations and events that drive brand awareness and lead generation, helping to showcase Interac as an innovative leader in Canada. You’ll also contribute your creativity, storytelling skills, and strategic thinking as you support the broader Corporate Communications team in achieving key business objectives. What You Will Do: Support planning, coordination, and execution of sponsorship activations, client engagements, and employee-facing events, including logistics, timelines, and on-site support. Assist with project management tasks, including maintaining event calendars, intake forms, sponsorship deliverables, and workback schedules. Manage attendee communications and registration tracking, and support promotional item logistics, inventory management, and on-site distribution. Contribute to post-event wrap reports by compiling performance metrics, insights, and stakeholder feedback. Support Corporate Communications initiatives by developing and coordinating on-brand internal and external content, including employee communications, announcements, and social content. Assist with communications related to corporate social responsibility, sponsorship programming, employee engagement, volunteer initiatives, town halls, and internal events. Help amplify narratives across internal channels, social media and partner platforms. Provide administrative and creative support, including assisting with presentations, collateral, email communications, vendor coordination, and collaboration with internal teams and agency partners. What You Bring: Currently completing an undergraduate degree from a recognized Canadian institution in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, media studies, events, or a related field. Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to create compelling, on‑brand content for digital channels including website, newsroom, intranet, social media, and email. Creative mindset with a passion for employee engagement, employer brand, and identifying new ideas to enhance communications, sponsorship, and event programming. Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, with flexibility to adapt as priorities shift in a fast‑paced environment. Exposure to corporate communications, sponsorships, events, digital marketing, or product marketing, with an interest in supporting integrated programs. Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with strong event coordination, project management, and administrative skills. Analytical and curious, with the ability to interpret data, pull performance metrics, and communicate results and insights in a meaningful way. Collaborative, proactive team player with strong relationship‑building skills and confidence communicating ideas and information clearly and impactfully. What We’re Offering: The hourly pay range for this position is $21 to $23, and the internship term runs from May to August 2026. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge.
