- JOB SUMMARY
- PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson’s infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
- The Commercial Coordinator supports the Commercial Manager in administering commercial, contractual, and cost control activities across the PACT program. This role provides day-to-day coordination, documentation, and tracking support to ensure commercial processes are executed accurately, consistently, and in accordance with PACT governance, contractual requirements, and project controls.
- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the administration of commercial and contract management activities across assigned projects or sub-programs
- Assist with tracking and maintaining contract documentation, correspondence, and commercial records
- Support change management processes, including logging, tracking, and coordinating review of change events and change orders
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of cost reports, forecasts, and commercial summaries
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Controls, and Finance teams to support accurate cost and commitment tracking
- Support subcontractor and supplier commercial administration, including payment applications and supporting documentation
- Maintain commercial logs, registers, and trackers in accordance with PACT procedures
- Assist with preparation of commercial submissions, approvals, and governance reporting
- Support audits, reviews, and information requests by ensuring documentation is complete and well-organized
- Participate in commercial meetings and record actions as required
- WORK CONDITIONS
- The position will be based at our offices in Mississauga, Ontario, with regular visits to the site offices as required. This position is 5 days per week with core hours of work between approximately 8:00am–5:00pm with 1 hour lunch or as agreed upon with your manager. All employees must complete a RAIC and Criminal background check.
- DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES
- Diploma or degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
- 2–5 years of experience supporting commercial, contract administration, or project controls functions on construction or infrastructure projects
- Basic understanding of construction contracts, change management, and cost control processes
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage and maintain multiple logs, trackers, and document registers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with project, commercial, and finance teams
- Experience working on large infrastructure or joint venture projects is considered an asset
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven project environment
