We are seeking an experienced Clinical Business Analyst to support the implementation of a province-wide Clinical Information Solution (CIS). In this role, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to standardize clinical workflows, develop order sets and documentation templates, and ensure seamless adoption of digital processes across the healthcare system. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in health information systems (EHR/CIS), business and system requirements gathering, gap analysis, and workshop facilitation. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in modernizing healthcare delivery, collaborating with clinical experts and project teams, and making a meaningful impact on patient care. Responsibilities ...
•Work closely with clinical stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and nurse practitioners, to gather and document detailed business and system requirements for the CIS
•Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements that align with standardized clinical practices
•Develop design documents, process maps, workflows, use cases, and user guides to support the adoption of clinical standards
•Plan and lead workshops and engagement sessions with clinical staff to validate existing requirements and gather new ones
•Build, validate, and test clinical content, including order sets, documentation templates, and other standardized workflows within the CIS
•Maintain strong collaboration with project teams, Subject Matter Experts, and stakeholders to ensure business and IT requirements are aligned
•Support the smooth rollout of clinical standardization initiatives and provide guidance to end users during adoption
•Prepare reports, status updates, and communication plans to keep stakeholders informed of project progress
•Adhere to privacy policies and confidentiality agreements
•Participate in occasional after-hours or weekend work as required, with prior approval
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
•University degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
•Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Clinical Business Analyst or Clinical Informatics Analyst, including requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, and documentation
•Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Health Information Systems (EHR/CIS) and healthcare operations
•At least 3 years’ experience in CIS/EHR implementation projects, including building or implementing projects of similar scale
•Availability to start on the specified project start date
Desired/Scored Qualifications:
•6+ years’ experience with clinical business analysis in areas such as computerized provider order entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, or ancillary services (Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, Laboratory)
•Bilingual (French and English) verbal and written communication skills
•At least 3 years’ experience leading workshops with healthcare providers to identify business requirements, system requirements, and develop user stories or use cases
•Minimum 5 years’ experience demonstrating self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and collaboration with project teams and stakeholders at all levels
•Proven ability to manage multiple project streams or activities simultaneously (5+ years)
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) with 5+ years’ experience
•2+ years’ experience using Atlassian JIRA in a project/work environment
•Previous experience within public health authorities, demonstrating understanding of the public healthcare landscape, policies, and practices
