I’m looking for a talented children’s book illustrator to bring my story “A Summer in Sudan” to life. The book is for ages 6–9, around 32–40 pages, and highlights Sudanese family stories, culture, and landscapes. Style Needed: Bright, expressive, kid-friendly art Warm family scenes Accurate illustrations of Sudanese people, clothing, and regions (Nile, date palms, villages, mountains, deserts) Soft, emotional storytelling through visuals What You Will Illustrate: 32–40 full-page illustrations Front + back cover Character sketches before final coloring Final print-ready files (CMYK, 300 dpi) Required Experience: Previous children’s book illustration work (portfolio required) Ability to draw Black/African/Sudanese characters respectfully and accurately Strong sense of color, emotion, and movement Experience preparing artwork for print (Amazon KDP or IngramSpark is a plus)
