Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The Childcare Provider will engage children in educational activities, support their emotional and social development, and ensure their overall well-being.

Duties

  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children in your care at all times.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote learning and development.
  • Provide nurturing care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
  • Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with children through play, teaching, and behavior management techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a cohesive team environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, preschool, or as a nanny.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development stages.
  • Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support positive interactions among children.
  • First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
  • Experience in toddler care, infant care, or caregiving roles is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 7 per week
