  • We are looking to fill a permanent, full‑time position for an Accounting Manager – U.S. Division at our Ville St‑Laurent offices.
  •  Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Internal Control, the Accounting Manager – U.S. Division is responsible for the full oversight of the American company’s accounting activities. They ensure the accuracy of financial information, compliance with applicable accounting standards, and adherence to the regulatory requirements of a publicly traded company.

More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to

  • * Supervise the full accounting cycle
  • * Organize, coordinate, and oversee all monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting operations, ensuring procedural compliance and adherence to deadlines
  • * Review and validate monthly financial statements for the centers, ensuring their reliability and consistency
  • * Analyze and review financial reports prepared by the accounting team at month‑end and quarter‑end, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • * Participate in and coordinate internal and external audits
  • * Actively contribute to financial closings and corporate consolidation
  • * Supervise and mentor certain members of the accounting team
  • * Participate in special projects (process improvements, acquisitions, etc.)
  • * Ensure U.S. tax compliance (income tax, sales tax, and other local obligations)
  • * Maintain effective communication between accounting and operations

 Requirements 

Education & Certification 

  • * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • * CPA professional designation

Experience 

  • * Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting
  • * Significant experience within a publicly traded company
  • * Experience in an audit firm
  • * Team management experience
  • Technical Skills
  • * Fully bilingual (English and French)
  • * Strong command of IFRS accounting standards
  • * Comfortable working with financial ERP systems
  • * Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
