Job Description: The Ops Car Washer position ensures that UPS facilities and vehicle fleets are kept clean, presenting a positive image for UPS when in service. This role involves washing vehicles daily using the necessary tools and equipment, including thoroughly cleaning the inside of UPS trucks. Job Type: Part-Time Permanent Work Location: 12424 Dixie Rd Caledon, ON, L7C 2L8 Workdays: Tuesday to Saturday (Must be available to work all 5 days) Shift Hours: 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM * (Flexibility with start and finish times required based on operational needs) * Shift Duration: 3-5 hours a day Hourly Wage: $18.00/hr. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Drives UPS delivery trucks through the car wash Understands and properly executes UPS’s safe driving methods Thoroughly cleans the inside of UPS delivery trucks using provided tools and equipment REQUIREMENTS: Meets local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment Valid Ontario G License Available to work daily, Tuesday – Saturday Tractor trailer experience – Preferred COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Automatic pay rate progression as per the existing Union Collective Agreement to $35.15/hr. after 48 months of service Tuition reimbursement up to $2,000 per semester (subject to eligibility, program approval, and satisfactory academic performance) Paid training Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit- Every Friday Personal paid days off (Eligibility Requirements) 2 weeks of paid vacation after 1 year of service (3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, and 6 weeks after 25 years) Extended Health Care Benefits (Vision, health, life insurance, and dental benefits after one year of service) Immediate access to UPS ‘Employee Discounts’ Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Employee Referral Bonus Program (conditions apply) Free Onsite Parking Opportunity for advancement within a Fortune 50 Company EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS: Monthly union dues (approximately $52/month) A union initiation fee of $50 (will be deducted after completing 90 working days with UPS) Exposed to hot and cold temperatures while working outdoors and in warehouse facilities Of Note: In our industry, this position is also known as Warehouse Worker, Warehouse Associate, Ops Car Washer, Sorter, Loader/Unloader, and Shipper/Receiver UPS is a diverse and equal opportunity employer.
