- Our interns gain knowledge of the firm's Assurance, Tax and Consulting practices through working with multiple clients across a variety of industries.
- Introduction to the team
- The Capital Projects Advisory practice is part of Business Consulting Services at Moss Adams (now Baker Tilly). In this role, you will bring industry experience, innovation, and specialized knowledge to help improve construction management processes and internal controls for our clients. You will use, and develop, skills that allow you to create value and minimize risk for our clients. Come join our growing practice!
Responsibilities
- Work with engagement team to help our clients make infrastructure decisions that strategically align with organizational objectives
- Utilize writing skills to effectively document observations and recommendations gathered through interviews and data analysis
- Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
- Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
- Review, analyze, and recommend improvements to construction management processes and internal controls
- Assist with construction contract audits, compliance reviews, and project oversight and monitoring functions for capital projects
- Work with engagement teams to perform field work, including data collection, analysis, and work paper documentation; prepare, edit, and proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations

Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams (now Baker Tilly) will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B, STEM OPT)
- Must have completed or be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree, Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, Construction Management, or Accounting preferred
- Must reside within a commutable distance to a Moss Adams (now Baker Tilly) office and be willing to work on-site
- Eligible candidates must have academic courses remaining at the end of the internship; Candidates in year three of a 4-year degree program, or in year four of a 5-year program, preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Technology-related coursework highly desirable
- Willingness to travel to client locations, including overnight stays, with travel expectations varying by department and office location
- Flexibility to work overtime or additional hours, including evenings and weekend, as needed
- Excellent customer service skills; Ability to understand own and others' emotions to achieve desired goals
- Creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills; Organize information and exercise well-reasoned judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in professional setting
