This role falls under the Counterparty Credit Risk team within Capital Markets Risk Management (CMRM), which is vital for monitoring and providing an independent view of Market Risk, Counterparty Risk, and Valuation activities of the bank’s global trading portfolio. The analyst will primarily focus on the OSFI B2 and SCCL large exposures framework and regulatory reporting. You will ensure the accuracy and completeness of daily, monthly, and quarterly reports, perform deep-dive analysis on risk exposures, and play a leadership role in process governance and efficiency projects.

Responsibilities
•Regulatory Reporting: Lead the generation of accurate and complete daily/monthly/quarterly OSFI B2/SCCL reports and counterparty credit limit monitoring reports.
•Risk Analysis & Monitoring: Perform ad-hoc analyses of specific metrics, exposures, and transactions as required by management and stakeholders.
•Data and Mapping Review: Review and research complex mappings that drive regulatory reporting (e.g., client, product, legal entity data).
•Operational Control: Manage operational risk (including cross-training, documentation, and audit support) and ensure internal control processes are adequate and documented appropriately.
•Process Improvement: Propose, schedule, plan, and champion projects to improve efficiencies and automate business support functions.
•Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise closely with Front Office, Credit Risk Management, Global Operations, and Technology groups to meet reporting objectives.
•Governance: Ensure execution of function aligns with documented procedures and maintain high standards for report quality based on business standards
Qualifications
Must-Have Requirements:
•Experience: 5–7 years of overall experience in a relevant financial/risk role within the banking industry.
•Risk Analysis: Minimum 2 years experience in the analysis of risk exposure.
•Product Knowledge: Minimum 2 years experience with a strong understanding of financial products, including security financing transactions (Repo, Reverse Repo, Security Lending) and derivatives.
•Methodology Expertise: Minimum 2 years experience with a strong understanding of comprehensive approach and SACCR methodologies.
•Skills: Strong attention to detail, proven presentation skills (to present findings), and proficiency with MS Suite (Access, Excel).
Highly Desired Qualifications:
•Education: Post-secondary degree required. A Master’s degree is a strong asset.
•Certifications: FRM (Financial Risk Manager) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) certifications are highly desirable.
•Technical Tools: Experience with Python and SQL is a significant asset.
•Background: Previous background in regulatory reporting.
