Are you ready to be a crucial player in the high-stakes world of Capital Markets? We're seeking a focused and detail-oriented Operations Analyst to join a key team within a major financial institution's Global Operations division.
This role is integral to supporting Fixed Income trading activities, specializing in a variety of key operational processes, particularly Collateral Settlement. You will be directly responsible for ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely transaction life cycles, utilizing your financial operations expertise to manage complex reconciliations and payment processing. This is a role where your ability to execute under pressure and interpret operational boundaries will be essential to meeting daily service level agreements (SLAs).
This is a 12-month contract with a possibility of extension or conversion.

Responsibilities
-Execute a variety of key operational processes related to Collateral Settlement for Fixed Income trading activities.
-Manage the end-to-end processing of cash Principal and Interest Settlement using the Loan IQ application for CSA agreements.
-Oversee critical cash settlement activities using SWIFT messages (MT202, MT103) for Variation and Initial Margins (CSAs) and Repo Margins (GMRA).
-Proactively manage and resolve a wide range of exceptions, including discrepancies arising from trade reconciliations (Front-Office to Back-office, Regulatory, and Custodial).
-Develop and maintain robust working relationships with internal and external partners to ensure optimal customer service delivery.
-Contribute to the continuous improvement of operating procedures, assisting with the analysis, development, testing, and implementation of process enhancements.
Qualifications
Must Haves
-Proven Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience, ideally within Capital Markets, settlements, or reconciliations.
-Market Knowledge: Sound working knowledge of both Canadian and US Fixed Income settlements.
-Technical Acumen: Strong proficiency in the MS suite of applications, including advanced knowledge of VBA for process automation and optimization.
-Certification: Possession of a CSC or other relevant Finance certifications.
-Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational, time management, interpersonal, and analytical skills to manage diverse daily responsibilities effectively.
Nice to Haves
-Direct, hands-on experience with SWIFT messaging formats and processes.
-Familiarity with the full transaction lifecycle for Fixed Income products, such as Repo and Security Lending.
