Flexible Work Agreement Type Hybrid / Hybride Posting End Date 2025-12-09 Job Grade PIPSC-3 Pay Range $111,451 - $140,007 Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, Product Delivery, the Business Analyst (ERP-Specializing in Human resources) participates in the work involved in the planning, organizing, business process analyzing, development, configuration, enhancements, implementation, and lifecycle of complex computer systems. They provide functional support for specific systems and of the underlying business environment, processes, and workflows. They advise and assist clients in support of system enhancements and technology roadmaps for applications, infrastructure, and services. Preference will be given to candidates with a Business Analysis certification and proven experience with Workday, along with a background in vendor communication, issue management, prioritization, and coordination of software fixes and enhancements. Key Accountabilities: Participates in assessing the business, technical and economic viability, and practicality of the solutions in meeting client requirements. Participates in planning, providing clear estimations and timelines for activities and commitments. Keeps abreast of emerging computing trends, evolving business processes, external vendor solutions and technology platforms specific to areas of specialization. Participates in the development of business process definition, including eliciting current state processes, analysis of the current business environment and facilitating the definition of future state processes and recommendations that are valid, traceable, and justifiable. Participates in the development of detailed requirements, functional specifications, and application configurations. Undertakes/or liaises with change and project teams engaged in the design/development of application, infrastructure and technology solutions and software installations. Provides second and/or third-level technical support for hardware and software problems passed on by lower-level help or by other technical staff. Participates in delivering system testing and documenting requirements; configuring, automating, documenting, and performing test cases and test scripts to identify and correct issues or to verify desired functionality. Assist in providing functional leadership and recommendations contributing to the development and implementation of relevant technical procedures, service levels and tools. Under Manager’s and/or Team Lead’s direction, may lead in moderately complex or multiple moderately complex project(s), including cross-functional projects. Assist in guiding and developing junior team members. Job Requirements Education: Graduated from a recognized university/college with a degree/certification in a business discipline and/or computer sciences/information systems or an acceptable combination of education, related experience, and training. Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in the development of business requirements and translating those business needs into functional and technical requirements for simple and complex systems. Experience in configuring, supporting, testing, and implementing in an ERP System. Experience developing test cases and performing all levels of testing and defect management. Knowledge: knowledge of ERP Business processes, policies, workflows, and procedures. Knowledge of business analysis methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques. Knowledge of modern software development life cycle and software configuration management processes, practices, and techniques, including Agile, Scrum and DevOps. Knowledge of Human resources ERP business processes. Knowledge of project management processes and procedures. Abilities: Ability to identify, analyze and specify business processes and requirements and determine how these can best be met within the limitations of time, budget, and staff resources. Ability to produce clear, cohesive, and concise documentation that is easily understood by both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to communicate insights effectively through verbal, written, and visual methods. Ability to establish rapport, build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, business partners and managers. Personal Suitability: Provides expert advice, guidance, and opinions in area of specialization. Establishes and communicates common goals and directions for team as required. Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and sound judgement when interacting with team members, leadership, and external stakeholders. Helps foster an open, trusting, and creative team environment. Working conditions This position is based at Ottawa Head Office and is classified as hybrid with minimum three day onsite.
