We are Calgary-based roofing company, seeking a web designer for a complete redesign of our current website. Our goal is a modern, intuitive site that increases our online presence, effectively communicates our services, and drives lead generation. We aim to make our website a significant part of our marketing strategy, serving a lead generation tool & informative website. It should attract, engage, and convert our target audience. To achieve this, we need the website to be user-friendly, engaging and informative, conversion-oriented, mobile-optimized, and SEO optimized. Key design preferences include: 1. Clean Interface: Above all, I appreciate websites with clean, minimalistic designs. Our new site should be uncluttered, with plenty of white space to create a feeling of openness and simplicity. It's essential that the design doesn't distract from the content, but rather enhances it. 2. Tabbed Sections: For content-rich pages, I prefer the use of tabbed sections to keep the information neatly organized and easy to navigate. This way, users can quickly find and digest the information they're looking for without feeling overwhelmed. 3. Custom Icons: I'm a fan of unique, custom icons that add visual interest to the site while also serving a functional purpose. These icons should be consistent in style and align with our brand identity. They can be used to illustrate our services, guide users through the site, or highlight key points in our content. 4. Intuitive Navigation: The navigation should be straightforward and intuitive. Menus and submenus should be clearly labeled and logically organized, making it easy for visitors to move around the site. 5. Color Palette: The color palette should be in line with our branding. I prefer the use of muted, calming colors, which can be accented by bolder shades for CTAs and key points. 6. Typography: The typography should be clear and easy to read, contributing to the overall clean look of the site. It should also be consistent across all pages for a unified appearance. 7. Responsive Design: Given the variety of devices people use, the site should have a responsive design to ensure it looks great and functions well on all screen sizes, from smartphones to desktop computers. 8. High-Quality Images: I would like to see high-quality, relevant images used throughout the site. These should complement the written content and help visually convey our professionalism and attention to detail. The new site should be: -User-Friendly: Easy navigation with clear pathways to key information. -Engaging and Informative: Valuable content that educates our audience about our services and industry. -Conversion-Oriented: Clear CTAs on every page to encourage visitor interaction. -Mobile-Optimized: Seamless browsing experience on mobile devices. -SEO Optimized: Improved visibility on search engines through keyword usage and fast load times. -Trust-Building: Display of testimonials, reviews, and accreditations to build visitor trust. Important Note – Website Copywriting Required: Please be aware that the written content (copy) for the new website is not yet completed. While the attached sitemap provides a structure and brief descriptions for most pages, the full copy will need to be created. The awarded freelancer will be responsible for: -Writing all website content based on the sitemap and provided guidance -Developing clear, engaging, and conversion-focused copy for each page -Ensuring the tone, messaging, and branding align with our company identity -Optimizing the content for SEO (keywords, headings, meta descriptions, etc.) Strong copywriting skills especially in service-based industries are therefore essential for this project. Attached in the .docx is our sitemap mock-up structure along with a brief descriptions for most of the pages. This document will also include a few website references.
