Responsibilities
As a quality control inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality control process for production on the SMT line. Your key responsibilities include implementing established processes and detecting non-conformities, all while contributing to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing company in Ville Saint-Laurent, Montreal:
Verify the quality of finished products or at different stages of production on the SMT line.
Monitor inspection activities, ensuring compliance with established criteria and inspection frequency.
Complete quality control forms and maintain the inspection log system.
Manage non-conformities, whether internal or external.
Contribute to the management of audit programs, as requested by engineers.
Analyze product returns, defect classification, and their statistics.
Perform touch-ups and repairs on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and improve automated optical inspections (AOI).
Qualifications
We're looking for a quality control inspector with SMT specialization for a technology manufacturing company in Ville Saint-Laurent. The ideal candidate has the technical expertise needed for the role as well as the personal qualities that allow them to thrive in this demanding and collaborative environment.
Possess a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality inspection.
Have in-depth knowledge of the IPC-A-610 acceptability standard.
Have experience on an SMT line.
Demonstrate professionalism, active listening, and good communication skills to interact with colleagues and suppliers.
Show autonomy, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Be bilingual; fluency in both French and English is important for this position.
