We are seeking a highly organized, focused, and detail-oriented Bilingual Operations Officer to join our Commercial Credit Centre team. This role is crucial for completing annual credit reviews for a portfolio of Commercial Banking borrowers. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a strong possibility of extension and conversion, offering a chance to gain valuable experience in a critical area of commercial finance operations.

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is the accurate and timely underwriting of annual credit reviews for targeted Commercial Banking borrowers. This is a 100% operations/back-office role with no direct customer interaction (non-customer facing).
Underwriting & Review: Responsible for the complete underwriting of annual commercial credit reviews across a wide range of industries.
Financial Analysis: Read, understand, and analyze commercial borrowers' financial statements to assess risk.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to lending policies and procedures, including accurate risk rating assessment.
Documentation: Maintain a keen attention to detail and high degree of data input accuracy throughout the review process.
Stakeholder Interaction: Communicate effectively and clearly with internal partners/Commercial Banking Centres regarding review status and required information.
Productivity: Work efficiently to meet daily productivity targets in a high-volume, high-pressure environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Teamwork: Function effectively as an independent worker with minimal supervision and as a collaborative team player.
Qualifications
Must-Have Hard Skills
Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in reading and writing in both French and English (required for client documentation and internal communication).
Financial Statement Analysis: Proven ability to read and understand complex financial statements.
Technical Proficiency: Solid experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Attention to Detail: Demonstrated high attention to detail in previous roles.
Must-Have Soft Skills
Exceptional Attention to Detail and organizational skills.
Strong ability to work independently and exercise critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
A focused, results- and goal-oriented mindset, with the ability to maintain high work quality under pressure.
Required Education & Experience
Education: Minimum post-secondary degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or equivalent credit experience.
Experience: 2-4 years of overall professional experience, ideally in a financial or administrative setting.
Nice-to-Have
Background in Finance or Accounting.
Prior experience in a banking or financial institution environment.
