  • Job Description
  • The BI Manager, reporting to the Head of Data, will be responsible for leading the North America BI function and driving the delivery of trusted, actionable insights across the business. This role requires a proven leader who can balance technical understanding with strong business partnership skills. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on, solution-oriented environment, leading a small team of BI professionals while ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely reporting that enables confident decision-making.
  • The BI Manager will oversee the development and maintenance of core data models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks. They will work closely with commercial and technical stakeholders in Canada and the US to ensure the regional BI capability operates independently and effectively. A proactive, pragmatic approach is essential to ensure that BI supports business performance and strategic goals.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI Analysts and Engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear, reliable, and user-friendly data products.
  • Oversee the design, build, and maintenance of data models, dashboards, and KPI scorecards that drive commercial, operational, and strategic decisions.
  • Ensure all reports meet quality standards for accuracy, consistency, and usability before release.
  • Champion data governance, ensuring that data used for reporting is secure, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.
  • Drive adoption of standard reporting frameworks, visual guidelines, and KPI definitions across the business.
  • Manage BI workload and priorities, balancing day-to-day requests with longer-term data infrastructure and automation improvements.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development and the wider Data team to enhance team capabilities, improve processes, and align with global BI standards.
  • Act as the primary BI contact for North America, ensuring regional reporting needs are met without dependency on other time zones.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that directly support sales performance, operational visibility, and leadership decision-making.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a BI leadership or senior BI delivery role (e.g., BI Manager, Lead BI Analyst, Analytics Manager).
  • Strong technical understanding of data modelling, reporting, and analytics principles, with hands-on experience using modern BI tools (Power BI preferred).
  • Strong SQL and data validation skills, with the ability to trace and resolve data quality issues from source to report.
  • Experience managing data and reporting workflows within modern cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or similar).
  • Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into measurable, data-driven outcomes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to challenge constructively and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience implementing or maintaining BI standards and governance frameworks.
