We’re hiring an engineer to build a lightweight pricing/data pipeline and internal dashboard tied to Amazon’s Product Advertising API (PA-API v5). The role focuses on reliable ingestion, storage, and basic surfacing of pricing data. Must-have skills • Hands-on PA-API v5: request signing (AWS SigV4), throttling/backoff, locales/marketplaces, Offers/Items endpoints. • Backend: Node.js (TypeScript) or Python; REST/GraphQL fundamentals. • Data: SQL and schema design (PostgreSQL or similar), time-series style logging. • Jobs & reliability: schedulers/cron, retries/idempotency, logging/monitoring. • Cloud basics: AWS (Lambda/ECS, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager/SSM) or comparable stack. • Security & compliance mindset: follow Amazon Associates/PA-API policies. Nice to have • Simple admin UI/dashboards (Next.js/React, Chart.js/Recharts). • Queues/caching (SQS/Redis), IaC (Terraform/CDK), CI/CD. • Keepa API, multi-currency/marketplace handling, alerting (Slack/Email/SMS).
