Job Description: Department Overview The AVP, Product Group Technology Lead, is responsible for leading the development, execution and delivery of end-to-end technology solutions within the Client and Colleague Servicing Product Group in the Wealth Platform. The key focus of the Product Group is to help achieve TD Wealth business objectives and deliver against the established roadmaps and realize the business aspirations of becoming a leading advisor for mass affluent and High Net Worth clients and extending client relationships to achieve #1 revenue market share in Direct Investing. This Product Group will drive efficiencies by automating and simplifying the end-to-end shared client servicing functions across Direct Investing and Advice including onboarding, money movement, acct maintenance and workflow. Reporting to the Wealth Platform Technology VP, the Product Group Technology Leader for the Client and Colleague Servicing Product Group will collaborate with AVP, Product Group Owner, and pod members to effectively communicate technology strategy and decisions to business stakeholders and drive business results, ensuring alignment with the organization's Target Operating Model (TOM). Job Responsibilities · Act as the single point of engagement for technology and own the technology vision, roadmap and tech definition in the product for their respective Product Group · Within the Product Group, facilitating decisions with respect to Technology Delivery and potential options & risks which will have downstream impact on operational costs, solution resiliency and scalability · Lead the creation and delivery of end-to-end technical solutions and oversee/support multiple specialized and functional pods · Participate in business planning discussion and define the technology delivery approach, including cross applications / team integration, and/or release coordination · Identify opportunities to minimize any negative cost impact and reduce delivery/operational costs of technology · Lead planning in driving technology target state model and roadmap-based technology investments within Product Group · Identify business opportunities through innovation and improve quality and predictability of Technology Delivery · Lead key initiatives for Technology Options Assessment, Opportunity sizing, Technology Delivery setup & structure · Lead approach validation process for all technology strategic solutions or POCs · Identify and hire for current and emerging talent needs required to enable ongoing value delivery · Ensures programs/initiatives related to security activities are well managed and administered; ensure the prompt and thorough resolution of issues · Monitor assigned functional area for productivity and efficiency, operating systems to continually improve delivery capability · Support Product Group members in staying knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank · Lead or contribute to cross-functional / enterprise initiatives as an organizational or subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for significant and complex situations · Grow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value delivered · Foster an environment/culture that encourages productivity, innovation, process improvement, teamwork and a high level of professionalism · Create a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourage the team to achieve common goals and objectives . Act as a brand ambassador for the bank, both internally and/or externally Job Requirements: Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering 12+ years leading technology delivery, including experience with Agile methodologies and hands-on software engineering Experience leading large transformation initiatives in Wealth Management or Capital Markets domain Strong people management skills with demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams Strong collaborator who engages colleagues, business partners, external stakeholders, and employees Who We Are: TD is one of the world's leading global financial institutions and is the fifth largest bank in North America by branches/stores.
