Goodman, Elbassiouni LLP is a plaintiff-side Personal Injury litigation firm located

in Etobicoke. We are seeking to hire a motivated articling student to complete their

articling under a Senior Lawyer. The student will have the opportunity to be

involved in all aspects of civil litigation, from intake to resolution.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 Law Degree from a recognized Canadian Law School or equivalent.

 Strong analytical skills to assess the applicability of legal principles to

evidence.

 Excellent research skills.

 Excellent interpersonal skills.

 Excellent organizational, administrative and time management skills.

 Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Proficiency in research tools, Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

Duties and Responsibility

 Conduct Legal research and prepare memos on various legal issues.

 Draft court documents and pleadings.

 Compile productions and Affidavits of Documents.

 Draft mediation briefs, settlement proposals, notice letters and other legal

correspondence with clients, adjusters and opposing counsel.

 Schedule and coordinate with the Court Registrar and opposing counsel.

 Meet with clients, maintain meeting recordings and transcribe meetings.

 Prepare Statement of Claims. Motions and Applications materials.

 Attend motions and discoveries.

 Organize client files and maintain accurate records.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
