Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: General office. Tasks: Consult with clients to determine the type, style and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered. Generate building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons. Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects. Prepare documents showing both the structural needs and the materials required for construction. Conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs and construction schedules. Perform architectural research .
