  • Job Description
  • In Total Fund Management ("TFM"), we are building the capabilities to enable a consistent framework for the long-term management of the firm's investment strategy. In partnership with a diverse team of professionals, the PD&C group recommends the asset and factor allocations of the fund at all relevant horizons and build capabilities to deliver portfolio designs that help drive business and investment planning.
  • As an Analyst, you will contribute to the team’s strategic objectives by conducting investment research, developing quantitative models to inform portfolio construction, and supporting recommendations on long-term asset allocation. You will also play an active role in advancing initiatives that align with the group’s broader mandate.

Accountabilities

  • Contribute to recommendations to the senior management team on total portfolio targets and asset allocation.
  • Maintain and enhance existing models used for portfolio construction and analysis.
  • Perform ad-hoc quantitative analysis and effectively communicate findings and recommendations
  • Apply programming expertise, optimization, linear algebra or numerical analysis techniques to prototype portfolio analytics and quantitative models used in top-down portfolio management. Convey new information requirements through written specifications.
  • Be mentored by experienced team members who will aid you to tap into your expertise and blend it with new skills learned on job.
  • Qualifications
  • University degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, physics, computer science, applied or financial mathematics)
  • Up to 3 years of relevant work experience in investment management, pension funds or related businesses; with a particular focus on quantitative research or portfolio construction & design.
  • Strong programming and quantitative skills; demonstrable proficiency using Python.
  • Interest in financial markets; basic understanding of modern portfolio theory, statistics and portfolio optimization techniques is desirable.
  • Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and work in a high-performing culture, under pressure and with time-sensitive deadlines
  • You excel at problem solving, attention to detail and ability to think critically and creatively.
  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with solid verbal and written communication skills.
