About

Amazon & eBay Store Builder / Marketplace Specialist About Us We are an import/resale business focused on bringing Japanese consumer products to North America. Our pilot batch is live, and we are now building out our sales channels — primarily Amazon.ca and eBay.ca. We’re looking for a Marketplace Specialist who can set up, optimize, and manage our online storefronts for growth. Role Overview You will be responsible for end-to-end store setup, listing optimization, and ongoing performance management across Amazon and eBay. The right candidate will understand how to take a product from raw inventory data to optimized listings and ongoing sales with strong margins. Key Responsibilities Account Setup & Compliance Configure and verify Amazon.ca Seller Central (Pro Plan) and eBay.ca Business accounts. Ensure all tax, HST, CRA, and payout information is correct. Manage compliance: restricted products, IP/trademark checks, FBA prep requirements. Listing Creation & Optimization Build new product listings on Amazon and eBay with keyword-rich titles, bullet points, descriptions, and backend keywords. Upload and optimize product images (white background + lifestyle shots). Complete all required item specifics, GTIN/UPC fields, and category mapping. Pricing & Profitability Input prices aligned with our landed cost tracker and resale targets. Model and double-check Amazon/eBay fees to ensure net margins are accurate. Adjust pricing based on competition and weekly sell-through. Logistics & Operations Create and manage FBA shipments (labels, carton prep, warehouse routing). Set up FBM and eBay shipping integrations (Canada Post or courier). Handle return policies and after-sales customer messages. Performance Monitoring Track Amazon Business Reports (sessions, conversion, Buy Box %). Review eBay sales reports for listing health. Recommend adjustments (price, keywords, images, promotions) for slow-moving SKUs. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience managing Amazon Seller Central and/or eBay Business accounts. Knowledge of FBA workflows (labels, prep, shipping plans). Strong copywriting skills for SEO-driven product listings. Understanding of Amazon/eBay fees and basic profit modeling. Familiarity with Canadian e-commerce compliance (tax/HST). Comfortable with analytics and making data-driven decisions. Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills) Shopify or Etsy setup experience. Graphic design skills (for listing infographics, eBay store banners). Japanese product familiarity (bonus, not required). What We Offer Flexible work (remote/contract basis to start). Opportunity to grow with the business as we expand our SKU range. Engagement Freelance / Contract (per-project or retainer) — ideal if you already manage multiple stores.
