Job Description AltaGas - Office Administrator (Temporary) We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Temporary Office Administrator to support day-to-day operations at our Slave Lake fractionation facility! This role plays an integral part in ensuring smooth site logistics, vehicle coordination, courier services, administrative support, and communication with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The expected term of this position is 3 to 6 months. This role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday during traditional business hours. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: Vehicle Maintenance Coordination Assist with general company vehicle upkeep, including fuelling and washing. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as tire and oil changes. Coordinate vehicle drop-off and pick-up for scheduled maintenance. Courier and Package Handling Create packing slips for outbound materials. Drop off and pick up packages from courier services (e.g., Staples, Business Factory, Post Office, SL Communications, Apex Distribution). Track shipments and notify site personnel when packages arrive. Coordinate delivery logistics on-site and notify operators for unloading as required. Retain packing slips and provide documentation to the Purchasing Assistant. Reception and Phone Support Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate contact. Provide general information regarding administrative processes. Take messages and monitor voicemail to ensure timely response and follow-up. Trucking Operations Support Direct drivers to the Lead Operator or appropriate station. Notify operators of incoming trucks and coordinate communication. Complete and process trucking-related paperwork. Resolve and adjust tickets in coordination with dispatch. Distribute fluid books and manage product testing documentation as required. Maintain inventory of placards for products stored on-site. Contractor & Vendor Coordination Assist with contractor onboarding, including verifying and facilitating orientation completion (online or onsite). Manage sign-in/out procedures and maintain contractor visit records. General Administrative Support Maintain office supply inventory and reorder as required. Ensure the office environment is tidy, welcoming, and well-organized. Perform “hot shot” deliveries and general errands as needed. Support projects and other administrative tasks as assigned. Qualifications, Skills & Abilities: Previous administrative or office support experience is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Proficient with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable demeanour. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Comfortable working in a field operations environment. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles. Ability to lift and move materials or supplies as required for courier and site support tasks. The hourly rate for this position will be ~$25.00 per hour plus a monthly Northern Living Premium of $230.77 bi-weekly.
