We’re looking for a skilled and detail-oriented 3rd Year Pipefitter Apprentice with proven hands-on experience in flange alignment, leak testing, and high-pressure or hydrostatic assembly work.

At our Nisku facility, you’ll work on the construction of advanced custom jacketed piping systems and large-scale, specialized fabrication builds that demand technical excellence and accuracy.
As a technical specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring precision, reliability, and leak-free performance in all critical mechanical assemblies and custom builds.
Compensation: $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Responsibilities
Piping System Assembly: Carry out the precise fabrication and field installation of complex, custom jacketed piping systems. Accurately interpret and work directly from P&ID and General Arrangement (GA) drawings to ensure alignment with design specifications.
Pressure Integrity & Quality Control: Utilize advanced expertise in bolt-up procedures and hydrostatic pressure testing to guarantee every assembly meets or exceeds high-pressure system requirements and quality standards.
Specialized Fabrication Work: Perform detailed custom fabrication tasks, including accurate threading, torquing, and corrective rework on distorted or misaligned pipe. Configure and assemble unique jacketed spool sections with precision and attention to detail.
Module & System Integration: Assist in skid and module construction, supporting the installation of valves, supports, and control instrumentation within large-scale fabrication builds.

Qualifications
Required Certification: Candidates must hold a valid 3rd Year Registered Apprentice Pipefitter ticket to be considered for this position.
Technical Expertise Required: This role demands a strong track record of precision, accuracy, and quality workmanship in advanced assembly and fabrication. Applicants must demonstrate hands-on proficiency in the following core areas:
Flange Assembly & Management: Proven experience performing exact flange bolt-up and assembly procedures on critical high-pressure systems where precision and integrity are essential.
Pressure Testing Proficiency: Thorough understanding and practical experience conducting, documenting, and evaluating results from both hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.
Victaulic Gaskets: Ability to correctly identify and seat components to ensure proper sealing and system reliability.
Sizing Accuracy: Skilled in selecting appropriate stud and gasket sizes according to specific flange dimensions and pressure ratings.
Torquing Precision: Demonstrated capability to apply accurate torque values per technical specifications, ensuring a flawless, leak-free connection.
Fabrication & Installation Skills: Strong foundation in the custom fabrication and installation of complex industrial piping systems and mechanical assemblies.
Blueprint & Drawing Interpretation: Proven ability to read and interpret detailed P&IDs, blueprints, and construction drawings with accuracy and efficiency.
Professional Attributes: Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements: Must provide personal standard hand tools and have reliable transportation to the Nisku facility for daily work.
