As we continue to grow and evolve, we’re looking for a Human Resources Manager who can help us build a stronger team, elevate our culture, and support the people who make it all happen.
Role Overview:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for recruiting great people, supporting employee success, and creating systems that help our team thrive. You’ll oversee hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, employee relations, and policy compliance—while partnering with leadership to shape the kind of workplace people are proud to be part of.
Key Responsibilities:
· Recruitment: Source, screen, and hire candidates across departments—including warehouse, delivery, tool sales, admin, and operations. Work with department heads to forecast needs and fill gaps quickly.
· Onboarding & Training: Create clear onboarding paths for new hires. Ensure every employee understands their role, expectations, and how to succeed from day one.
· Performance & Development: Assist leaders in setting expectations, tracking performance, and providing regular feedback. Support the creation of clear job descriptions and evaluation tools.
· Culture & Retention: Organize recognition initiatives, staff engagement events, and internal communications that reinforce our company values and team spirit.
· Employee Relations: Be a trusted point of contact for employee concerns. Manage conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations when needed.
· HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies, and manage benefits, vacation tracking, and other HR-related systems.
Qualifications:
· 5+ years of experience in human resources, ideally in a retail, trades, or logistics-based environment
· Strong recruiting, interviewing, and team-building skills
· Knowledge of Manitoba labor standards and HR practices
· Excellent organizational and communication abilities
· Comfortable working with employees at all levels—from warehouse floor to senior leadership
· High emotional intelligence and a steady, fair approach to problem-solving
